Photographing the Galapagos (4/10/25)

David DesRochers took us on a photographic tour of the Galapagos off the coast of Ecuador.  Located just north & south of the equator the islands offer varied and unique ecosystems of plant and animal life.  Lots and lots of birds including albatross and boobies, reptiles such as the famous iguanas and tortoises, and sea life. The wildlife is generally unafraid of humans so you can get close without the need for a long lens.  Photo opportunities exist from land and also from boats & zodiacs or even in the water although that can be rough. But there are challenges.  The light is often harsh and you must stay on marked paths with your tour group (smaller expeditions are better) so you can't always get the ideal viewpoint.
